This event caused the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Formal charges have been brought against two men following a luggage theft where a suspected irritant spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.

These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, police said.

A toddler was one of the people hurt during the incident. Several persons went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.

The incident – which authorities stated was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
